No seriously, how are you currently getting your MLM education?  Through courses?  Books?  CD’s?  Mp3’s?  Your upline?  This is a very important thing to discuss because for many…they aren’t getting ANY type of MLM or network marketing education.

Yes, you heard that right, NONE!

And it is really kind of sad because it only hurts the person who is doing nothing and the industry overall.  I do come across this all of the time, and I just don’t get it.  Many people join a MLM company or other home based business venture, believing that their actions enough of just joining will make them income.

No sir, it will not, but people constantly believe that it will anyways.  It takes action and massive action.

Which begs the question, how are YOU getting your MLM education?!

For me personally, I get it through two ways predominantly, courses that I purchase and online recordings.  As a physician who is totally swamped seeing patients during the day, a course or recording that I purchase online will either come in CD form, online access, or both.  I like having the variety because my 20 minute commute to and from the office instantly becomes my masterminding educational cave.

Why waste that time when you could be getting a phenomenal “MLM education?”

99% of the population will listen to music or talk radio, and that is why 99% of the people in this world are broke and/or complain about their finances.  By listening to trainings while in my car, I am constantly making myself better.  I am constantly getting that slight edge.

But if I don’t knock it out in my car, I then have the backup of watching the course online later that night or sometime throughout the day on the weekends.   If you aren’t doing this, then I HIGHLY suggest that you start.

Literally hundreds of online business owners are doing this stuff daily.  If you aren’t, then you are way behind the power curve.

So are you currently marketing other people’s products?  Yeah, as in like affiliate programs, joint ventures, or good ole’ straight up free advertising for them?  I get asked this quite a bit, as in, why in the hell would anyone want to market someone else’s products?

Well, I’m here to tell you today that it is a VERY smart business move.

From the most basic premise of business, especially online business, you can and should participate in affiliate programs.  HOWEVER, I say this with a strong caveat.

ONLY PARTICIPATE IN AFFILIATE PROGRAMS THAT YOU HAVE TRIED AND BELIEVE IN!!!!

Yes, I’m talking about NOT marketing other people’s products unless you have purchased them!!

Why?

Simple, it is an ethical business practice. How do you know something is good or worth other people’s time unless you have tried it yourself?  You could be telling them to purchase a pile of crap?  Would you really knowingly do that just to make an extra buck?  I sure as hell hope not.  That is the fastest way to lose your credibility in any market place.

You help others get what they want, and you in turn will get what you want.  Again, I’m really living by this statement these days.

Also, here is another one of the biggest reasons that you should “market other people’s products”….

By doing so, you edify them as a leader, AND IN TURN, you become a leader for being associated with them….

No seriously, this is an absolute fact.  You start to look like a rockstar because you are helping people get what they want by recommending another rockstar’s products, that might just help that newbie break through.  That newbie (or “oldie” whichever) will then come to you, asking for other products that you recommend.

Again, this only creates win-win situations.  Always be looking for the win-win situations.   That is how you really succeed in these situations.

Yeah, I truly just don’t get it.  This is not going to be one meant for super awesome SEO rankings.  This is just me speaking from the heart on this one.

You see, over the past year, things have really started to take off for me outside of my medical career.  For those that are my close friends and know me well, you all know that I am a Navy physician, flight surgeon to be exact, but then you also know that I do “other things”, aka “crazy Tim Lawler shit”, aka “tons of business scams”, or whatever you want to make up in your mind.

I mean I get it, and I’m always one for taking jabs because Lord knows that I give plenty of them to my fellow peeps.

But at the same time I really don’t get it.

To be perfectly honest, I have been thinking of the BIG picture lately, and when I dream, I go big.

Go big or go home is a motto that I live by.  And if you have been checking out my Facebook profile over the past few months, you may have seen a few pictures from a free cruise that I won from one of my business ventures (I told you that things have been going well).

But this is where I don’t get it.  Many of my friends see this, and they instantly want to criticize.  Again, I know why, and it is 100% because of fear.  But this is where my dream comes into play.

I had a freakin’ blast on that cruise.  It was an AWESOME time, and I was on it with some of my very good friends, friends that I know I will have for a lifetime, and who I become closer and closer with on a daily basis.   And it was so easy to get along with these new friends because we have the same goals, ambitions, and wants.  And then I think to myself…

Why don’t my other friends have these same ambitions?

Yeah, I’m talking about all of my north county peeps, high school friends, college friends, med school friends, and anyone else that I have met along the way.   I mean, how freakin’ awesome would it be to load a freakin’ cruise  boat with 100 of my closest friends (probably many of you reading this because it will be on my Facebook wall), party in suites with endless bottles of champaign, and get massages on the beach while not having a care in the world on a Tuesday.  Yeah, this is EXACTLY what happened on that cruise.

My entire point is….why do you criticize something that has already happened for me, and it is clearly attainable?  Something that you can easily have for yourself?  Again, the answer is simple.

Fear.

People are scared shitless of losing the “security” of their jobs.  They constantly say, “I wish that I could have a beach house”, or “I wish that I could have that car”, or “I wish, I wish, I wish…”  They say it as if it is a pipe dream.  And for them, and many of my friends from earlier in life….it will always be a pipe dream.

For me and my business friends, it will be a reality.  And then my friends from earlier in life will move on to the next excuse, saying, “oh it’s because he is a physician, and he has the money..”

And then I will respond with the answer “military physicians are some of the lowest paid doctors, and oh, by the way, I’m not practicing medicine anymore.”

And then again, this will induce more criticism.

“But WHAT?!?!? Not practicing medicine anymore?!!  You are nuts!?!”

And then I will simply respond with “You’re right…..”

All while I’m receiving massages on the beach, in Mexico, on a Tuesday while they are being “right”, pissed off, working 50+ hours per week, sad, saying “I wish I could…”, and hating their life.

I now get myself away from negative people.  I have been for over the past year.  I only surround myself with those that are moving forward.  Don’t get me wrong, I will always be friends with those that I have met earlier in my life.

But it would be unreal if they were able to break free from the fear and join me in moving forward.  But the sad thing is that 98% of them just won’t.  Yes, I’m talking directly to many of you reading this post.

If you happen to be a stranger visiting my blog, welcome!  But please take the message and meaning of this post to heart.  You are likely a business owner of your own, and for that I commend you in a big way.  You are the 2%.  Your friends will criticize, but you will be able to just smile while on the beaches of the world.

Well, there are quite a few ways, but I want to boil this down to one thing…..

LISTENING!

I kid you not.  It is that damn simple.

You see, when you end up vomiting information all over other people, it’s because you are so excited that you are going to make a bunch of money, and the result of that will be them making money too.

However, with this mindset, your focus is not your prospect, it is on you.   You blatantly show that you are not caring about their problems when you vomit all over them.

Therefore, contain your home business excitement!

Listen, listen, and listen to their issues and problems.  See how you can help them get better or succeed in what they do.

I am happy as hell that you are super pumped about your business opportunity, but you just need to take it down a notch.   Focus on other people, and you will be golden.

That is what this whole home business thing is about anyways, right?

Again, this saying is my new focus these days… “help others get what they want, and you will by default get what you want.”

If you live by these words (which I am trying to do daily), then you will be the ultimate rockstar.

Ok guys, I have to admit that I am finally turning back on the marketing funnel.  So as my last post alluded to…where in the hell have I been?

You have to understand that it truly is a passion of mine.  Yes, it can be a huge pain in the ass at times too, but it is a phenomenal way to communicate with others and put your mind out there.

And most importantly, it is a way to help others succeed.

This is a quote that Mike Dillard always refers back to, and I have been placing that back as my main focus of my businesses.

It is the focus of turning back on my marketing funnel!

Yes, I am sure that many of you are thinking this statement if you happen to be a frequent visitor to my site.  Or perhaps this is your first time, but you see it has been 2 weeks since my last post.  In either case, this has been the longest break in my blog writing over the past 6 months.

And yes, it does kill me, but I do have a good reason.

To be blatantly honest with you, I have been on to something big, as in REALLY big.  I recently decided to add yet another stream of income to my portfolio, and this one happens to take the cake.

No, it is not another MLM company, but I do love my current MLM companies that I’m with at the moment.  They are either generating income on a daily basis for me or giving me a long lasting asset that will preserve my wealth.

And no, it is not another “top tier” program, which I also happen to be a part of too.

This company that I just partnered with honestly blows all of my aforementioned companies combined out of the water.  They just don’t come close.

Again, I absolutely love every business venture that I am apart of to date, but I feel as if every experience has lead up to this moment.

Personally, I feel 100% complete with this company, and it is something that everyone, literally every person around the globe can and will tap into.

You see, a potential problem that scares many away from network marketing and the home business industry is that you have to change (or convince) your market to buy a product or service that they may or may not want.

But not with this company.  They take that notion and flip it on its end.

This company monetizes what the current market HAS TO do daily in order to survive.  There really isn’t any “convincing”.  People just plug in and get paid doing things that they have to do anyways in their lives.

Point is, I have been spending every waking second outside of seeing patients during clinic hours either signing people up or helping my team sign up people.   And it has only been 2 weeks.

I have never had anything happen this fast….ever.

Traditional business owners can’t sign up fast enough.  Hard core networkers get this in a big way.

CEOs of both network marketing companies and small businesses in local communities are jumping on board daily.

As I like to say….this is big boy land.  This company did billions, YES BILLIONS, in sales last year.  Not just a few pesky million.  It’s nine years old, currently has over 2 million people in it, and is a household name in Europe.

Now it’s just starting to come to North America.  As of this writing, fewer than 5,000 people even know about this company or its service in the US.  In the next 3-7 years, they are projecting 50 million US citizens to be using this service.

Talk about opportunity….

Are you trying to learn how to give your team support?  It seems like a funny concept doesn’t it?  I mean that concept could be massive.   But seriously, are you learning how to do it?

If not, you should be.

As David Wood has been saying on his Empower Network calls lately…are your dreams big enough for those of your team?

One of his mentors had challenged him with that question early on in his career, and I think it is a valid question.  Specifically, if your dream is only to make 10k per month, but people on your team want to make 50k per month, will you be able to support them?

Chances are no.

So how do you “give your team support?”

Well, here are three ways in which I do it.

1.  Through Keeping Them Accountable

As most of you know, I am doing a 100 day business builder challenge right now.  Reason being, I need third party accountability.  When a new person is starting though, you need to be that person holding them accountable.  You don’t have to be an ass or jerk, but you may have to be stern.  People don’t succeed in business by hand holding.  Sometimes tough love can be a good thing.

2.  3 Way Calls

With my new business venture, my phone is ringing off the hook.  I have business partners across the country that need my experiential knowledge about what we do.  Therefore, I do it through 3 ways calls.  These are one of the best ways to give your team support.  You don’t have to physically be there, but you are still building through 3^rd party introductions.  Plus your team knows that you are just a phone call away to help keep the expansion growing.

3.  Sit Down Meetings

Yes, I know that we just talked about 3 way calls, but personal meetings are one of my favorite ways to give your team support.   No matter what business you are in, it involves personal relationships.  And the best way to foster personal relationships is through a face to face meeting.  People can then pick up on all of the subtle things about you, and in turn, your business.  Shrugs, smiles, frowns, grimaces….they all tell a tale.  If you portray that tale in a good way, it is just another feather in your cap for expanding your team.

So, I hope these 3 tips helped give you ideas on how to give your team support.  If you have any others, which I am sure many of you do, I would love to hear about them below in the comments section.

If you read several things online, you may get a negative impression about the company, or you may get a positive review of the company.  But that is kind of the point of this post.  It isn’t to defend or prosecute Zeek Rewards.  It is to address the human emotional aspect of company research.

The sad thing is that you are actually reading this post this far down.  It means that you are seduced by negativity, or you are scared.

Trust me, I get it.  You want to know the truth.  We all do.

But if you are going to do your research…then actually do your research on a particular company!  Don’t just take a random person’s word on the Internet for it.

See what the company has to offer in regards to a business!

P.S.  Seriously, if you are wondering “is zeek rewards a scam?”, you need to check out this presentation before you make up your mind.

If you are going to be a successful entrepreneur, you have to take chances.  Period.  End of discussion.  The word “risk” is something that will not only enter your vocabulary, but it will be something that you live by.

Now, when most people read what I just wrote, they will think I’m an idiot.  I’m not.  Or, at least I don’t think I’m an idiot for saying the above words.  The definition of being an entrepreneur means that you are a risk taker.

Yes, you have to take chances!

But taking chances doesn’t have to be stupid.  There can be calculated risk, to help you minimize the downside of a potential “risky” move, and that is the type of risk that I’m talking about here.

Calculated risk is what you want.  Non-calculated risk is not what you want.  (yeah, I just used a double negative).

That is called gambling, and if you want to lose anything and everything in those moves, then be my guest.

However, I like to think that I try to help out those that are trying to make it in this business, in this industry.  I care too much about it.

Yes, you have to take chances…

But take the RIGHT kind of chances.  For instance, I just decided to partake in an absolutely amazing opportunity.  This opportunity is going to expand into something so massive that every American will be using this service or seeing this service everywhere they shop in the next 2-4 years.

Could it flop?  Could I lose my money?

Absolutely.

There are no guarantees!

But from all my research and all my conversations, I don’t think it will.  Therefore, I put my money where my mouth is.

I take calculated risks.

Learn to do the same.  Learn to be great.  Follow what others do.  As I’ve said in the past…. if you do these things, you will be unstoppable.
