Ever wonder if direct sales companies are worth it?  I thought about the same thing for several years actually.  Having been in the MLM industry for over 5 years and not making a dime during my first four, I was pretty discouraged at that time.

Yes, I wanted to quit working my home business all together.  Yes, I was sick of having to recruit 1,000 people to make a $20 commission check.  Yes, I was tired of hearing “is this a pyramid thing”, over and over again.

I wanted something different.

But were direct sales companies the answer?

Well, again, after having been in the network marketing industry for about 4 years at that time, I decided to leave the industry, and try one out.  And I can promise you that I have not been disappointed.

However, if you have come across this page, you may be wondering what’s the point?  Or better yet, what’s the difference between direct sales and your run-of-the-mill MLM companies.

Let’s dig into the massive difference right now, shall we?

The HUGE difference between direct sales companies and MLM companies

As I alluded to before, there tend to be smaller checks made, at least initially, in most MLM companies.  It takes time and a very large team of reps before you will actually start making commission checks into the thousands.

But this is not so with direct sales companies.  They operate off the premise of G.P.T.  Get. Paid. Today.  Since most of the packages are at a starting price point in the thousands….when you are able to obtain a customer of one of those packages, it is a BIG commission.  Like say, $800-$2000….instantly!

Yeah, that’s right.  Off of one sale, you make thousands in commissions, which would have taken you probably 20-30 reps to do with a MLM company.  So when it comes down to a making money venture, direct sales companies can be extremely appealing.

But is the product worth the price?  Well it damn well better be.   From a basic business and ethical point of view, your product should absolutely be worth the price, or in my opinion, 10x worth what you pay for it.

And from my experience most direct sales companies are.

For instance, the company that caught my eye, and I am proud to be associated with deals with the tip of the spear of online business development and marketing.  It happens to be a community of some of the world’s best of the best of Internet marketing rockstars.

It allows you to be as hands on or hands off with the entire selling process as you want.  Such as, you can do something as basic as drive traffic to a site, and once they become a lead, you are done.  Essentially your business partner’s marketing funnel takes over, and you just sit back and enjoy the profits.

Or, you can build your own funnel, having any of your prospects go through your entire process that you decide.  Or you can mix and match, all while you receive big commission checks at the end.

Do you think St. Louis printing companies will become extinct?  I honestly don’t know, but they are definitely going to have a run for their money.   You see, with the Internet becoming more and more the gold standard on where people turn to look up anything on anyone at anytime, it is vital that advertising and advertising dollars follow to this media.

And trust me, they are in a big way.  And this is where I come in .

I have been involved in the online marketing world for over 5 years in addition to being a full time physician.  It is just so damn fun to learn and study marketing, and it is probably one of the reasons many St. Louis printing companies got started in their industry as well.

But it appears the tides are shifting.  I mean, why are newspapers that have been the staple of print media all of a sudden on the brink of bankruptcy?  People just don’t want to pay for newspaper ads anymore.  They can advertise for free online through various avenues, such as Facebook, Twitter, and blogs.  This screams “danger” for any and all traditional print media.

So are St. Louis printing companies going to be out of business soon?

Again, I’m not sure, but personally, I think that print media will always have a place.  Eventually, it will be one of the rarest forms of advertisement and super cheap.  However, I’m not here to bash.  I’m here to help.

As you can imagine, if you are not on board with the changing times, you will be left in the dust.  If you are not learning how to be on page one for a Google search of St. Louis printing, then you will not survive.

Is there any easy way to do this?

In short, yes.  But it wasn’t until the last 3 months.  Without going into too much detail, a new affiliate marketing site that anyone, from any business, with any experience level can use to absolutely DOMINATE keywords has come on the market.

It literally allows a person to join, start writing daily, and completely take over the top spots for certain keywords they choose and research within days.  They don’t have to spend months trying to optimize a site.  They don’t have to spend thousands on designers to make it look nice.  They don’t have to spend hours with tech support trying to make sure everything works.

They just join, write daily, and get ranked.

So how will this help me again as a St. Louis printing company?

Well, I know that many printing companies are smaller establishments.  They might not even know about how to maximize their time and efforts online.  I am here to help those owners gain back some of that ground that they may have lost.  I am here to help them survive in the new world of online advertising.  This system is the game changer.  The only question is…will you use it or turn your back on it?  Your choice.

If you are like me, then it is very possible that you were not placing your keywords for maximum SEO profits until recently.  Yeah, I’ll admit it.  I have just been writing whatever came to my mind, and I was still getting ranked.  It’s kind of amazing actually.

But now I have learned my ways.  What I’m about to tell you is not rocket science.  I was just able to go through some awesome training lately from the man, the myth, the legend, Rob Fore, and it is the basic layout of where you should put your keywords in your post.

I thought this info would be great for my team so here we go.

Basic Places To Put Your Keywords For Maximum SEO Profits

As with any good story, you want your post to have a good beginning and ending.  The same goes with where keywords get placed when you are framing your post.  Therefore, your first sentence and last sentence should contain your keywords.

As for another guideline, you should be trying to sprinkle your keywords approximately every 100 words or so throughout your post.  You don’t want it to look spammy, but you want to make sure you have the appropriate keyword density.  If you don’t know what that means, it’s not a big deal.  We’ll get to that later.

Anything Else We Can Do To Get Maximum SEO Profits?

Yeah, there is.  It has to deal with making your keywords “pop”. You should make sure one set of your keywords is underlined, another set is bolded, and yet another is in italics. Don’t ask me why this works, guys, it is just the name of the game.

Also, you need to get pictures involved in your post if possible.  When placing the pic in your post, you then need to put your keyword in your “alternative text” part of the picture, also known as the “alt text” portion.  If you are a newbie, don’t worry about this, but you need to start doing this eventually.

Finally, you need to include H1, H2, and H3 tags.  The “H” stands for headers or “headings”.  These are like mini re-caging paragraph titles that will ensure you get your maximum SEO profits from your post.

If you are one of my Empower Network team members going through my training, then please know the SEOPressor pluggin will literally tell you which one of the above items you missed or absolutely nailed.  Simply enter your exact keyword phrase, hit enter, and it will spit out a percentage on how awesome you will likely do for that keyword.

But just to make it bullet style, here are those points again….

1.   Keywords in your first and last sentences of your post

2.  Keywords sprinkled approximately every 100 words

3.  Keywords in the alternative text portion of a picture you add

4.  One set of keywords needs to be italicized, another bolded, and another underlined

5.  You need to contain keywords in your H1, H2, H3 tags

6.  Check SEOPressor to ensure you didn’t miss any other tips because I’m sure that I did here

Yes, it is true, Diane Kennedy is awesome.  I have been fortunate enough to meet and work with this woman for only a very short time, and all I can say is WOW!

I first met Diane on our Numis Network rockstar cruise a few weeks back, and the immediate thing that astounded me is how down to earth and approachable she is (and that goes for pretty much all of the Numis leaders as well).  But that is just the beginning.

4. She is a very approachable, kind, and down to earth person. (Did I already say that?  I’ll say it again.  It’s that important).
5. Truly cares about the success of others, even if there is no direct personal gain from her efforts.
6. Decided to join Numis Network as the only home business she has ever been a part of after seeing literally hundreds in her career.
7. Can attract people both offline and online.  (This is very difficult to do I might add).
8. Lives in Southern California (actually Mexico) because that’s where the cool people live.
9. She has been there and done that, on a number of levels.  These people are a WEALTH of knowledge, and she is no different.
10. She saved me $400 on my car insurance.

Well ok, maybe the last one isn’t exactly true, but the 3 sentence words of tax advice that she gave me last night helped me save AT LEAST that much with my Numis business.

I guess I let the cat out of the bag.  I drink Big Gulps.  Not only do I drink Big Gulps, but I drink Double Gulps.  I mean how sick is that? And I’m a freakin’ physician for crying out loud.

Well, even us doctors have our own vices.  For me, it’s Diet Coke.  I just don’t drink coffee really, and from a young age, I have always used soda as my pick-me-up.  I wish I could break myself from it, but it has sunk its claws in me.  The Diet Coke monster has me hook, line, and sinker.

I will likely get a brain tumor in the coming years here if I don’t stop my Diet Coke habit.  It causes brain tumors in rats at ridiculously high amounts, but I don’t think I come that close…uh, you just never know.

Point is, I am addicted to Diet Coke.  So are many others.

But I am addicted to other things as well, like Internet marketing.  And so are many others.

The rush that comes from following a 1-2-3 step process and seeing the money deposited directly into my bank account is unlike any other.

I mean, holy crap!  I’m sure it’s similar to snorting crack while chilling on a boat that’s going 100mph.  (No, I have never done crack, and I have never gone 100mph on a boat….might want to try the later sometime though).

Yeah, it’s that big.

I don’t kid when it comes to these types of feelings.  I am as serious as a heart attack.

Helping others make their first sale online is the best.  They don’t do it through hounding.  They don’t do it through having meetings.  They don’t do it through chasing their dog catcher.

They simply blog every day.  That’s it.

People are drawn to them.  They want to be a part of what they have to offer.  They want to be rockstars.

“So, if you want to be great, you have to drink Big Gulps, Tim?”

If you aren’t doing revenue producing activities daily, then you just aren’t doing your business.  But for most people that are reading this post, I know you are always doing things to move your business forward.  But at the same time, you need to make sure that you are doing those activities that put money into your pocket first.

What are these activities?

Well, that completely depends on how you are doing your business.  You have to specifically analyze how cash is coming directly to you.

However, most people think it is through:

1. Optimizing their Facebook Fanpage to get more “Likes”
2. Making better capture pages to get higher conversions
3. Going over their PPC account for the eighth time in an hour to see how many clicks they got
4. Buying a course on how to make your own info product
5. Listening to a webinar on how to sell a funded proposal
6. Etc
7. Etc
8. Etc

But these are not things that will make you an income.   They will help you make income, but they won’t do it directly.  There is only one thing that will do this, and it is prospecting, prospecting, prospecting.

Yes, there are ways to make sales without talking to people, but this will produce modest results at best (and it is usually reserved for very, very advanced marketers).   No matter what business you are involved in, especially when it comes to the home business industry, you have to talk to people.

That is how you make money in our world.  You must prospect, “work” leads, engage another human being in conversation.  Our industry is about helping people change their lives, not about making a sale.  Money does come as a result, but that should not be your focus.

If you put other people’s interests ahead of yours, then you will make a killing.

The problem is though, many people do not like this for some reason.  They are super scared to talk to others.  I personally don’t understand it, unless they have a social phobia.  At any cost, it then becomes a topic of….how much pain are you willing to experience to force yourself to overcome it?

Again, most people just succumb to the fear.  They don’t break out.  They don’t pick up the phone.  They don’t make those connections.  They don’t get people to join their team.

Don’t be that guy.  Talk to others.  Make new friends.  Attract great people to you.

This all happens by  making sure you do your revenue producing activities first each day.

If you are not a fan of American Idol, that’s ok.  I’m not either.  However, I do find myself watching it occasionally from time to time, and since my wife is an avid fan, I have started to watch the audition shows over this past week.

You definitely see some interesting characters on that show, and the 2009 season was one of the most epic.  It had General Larry Platt feature his made up song of “Pants On The Ground”.  If you haven’t seen it, then you should really check it out.  It is quite a catchy tune.

As we drove home tonight from visiting friends in LA, that bad boy came up in conversation, and we started to sing it once again.  The good General has apparently left this earth from my most recent research, but his legacy lives on.

Anytime I, or literally thousands of American Idol fans over the past years, think of the show, he will be in our thoughts.

And it really makes one think…what are you doing to leave a legacy in your business?

Most people don’t think that far ahead, or they don’t dare to dream that big.  I call that small thinking, and it is this mindset alone that will keep you down.  If you don’t dream big, you will only get crap in return.

As for a case in point, let’s turn to the words people use.  Many don’t realize how their thoughts turn into words, words turn into actions, and actions turn into character.   And with that said, one of the most common phrases that I hear others say is…. “oh, we can’t afford that.”

It doesn’t make a difference what “that” is, but this is a poor man’s mindset.  Anyone with this phraseology will continue to stay poor and never make any real success in their business.

Yet, there is another alternative, and it is this phrase….”how can we afford that.”

Yes, it seems so stupid and simple (and it is that simple), but you must switch to this type of thinking immediately.  It can be done, but it will take work.  You might catch yourself slipping back to the old apostrophe “t” word, but just make sure you catch yourself.  Change it, and then move on.  The more you do it, the better you will be.

If I can do it, you can do it.
