Sometimes, the hours in the day just get away from me. I am tired, massively exhausted, and I just don’t want to write on my blog. Other times, I literally can’t write because my entire day has been devoted to my day job. But then I realize this is an excuse, and I publically flog myself.
Well, I don’t physically flog myself…. I just mentally do it. And that is so I get my ass in gear, and it helps me get my priorities straight.
Getting back to the point…..
As Dave and Dave preach at the Empower Network, you need to write daily if you want to succeed in this industry and get results on the search engines. However, many people get intimidated, think that they have to do special writing, use H1/H2/H3 tags, underline words, bold words, etc, etc. Basically they see it as an insurmountable task to do each day.
And yes, this is true. If you are trying to get ranked for certain keyword terms and phrases, then you most definitely need to do those types of things, and I even teach you how to do them at this post.
Yet, I want to go one step further and say that is not the most important thing. The most important thing is just doing it. Getting in the habit of writing daily (or at least 5 days per week), and getting content from your head out in to the Internet world……now THAT is the most important part.
Again, it should be a goal to eventually have every single one of your posts written to be optimized for the search engines. But search engines aren’t what makes you money….people feeling that you provide them with enough value, and in turn, pay you for that value…..THAT is what makes you money.
Therefore, by providing daily content, people get to know you, like you, love you, hate you, laugh with you, laugh at you, etc.
They just get to know you.
So from now on….just post daily or as often as you humanly can. Your results will be staggering.
Until next time…
