And it’s not because we are in the whole network marketing world, in which we are supposed to be doing this with each other. I’m talking about making smart, calculated connections with others that will help you get ahead in your business.
For the longest time, I wasn’t really doing this. I was just floundering around, trying to get by on sheer might and will. This could work for awhile, but for 99% of the people, it will cause them to quit and quit fast.
“So how do I go about making the connections needed to rock it then, Tim?”
Well, there are several ways, and I’m going to give you my top two.
The first is a free way, and my friend Gabby reminded me of this on our cruise that we won about one month back. She pointed out that so many people are afraid to ask for help from the big boys and girls.
Just do it!
Yes, she is absolutely correct. If you think you are making the connections necessary by wishing them to come true, you are wrong. You have to reach out to the people that are having big results. Facebook, Twitter, and their personal blogs are great ways to shoot them a quick note, asking for their advice, especially if they are in your direct upline.
They will want to help you, and they can help correct or critique anything that you have issues with. All you need to do is ask!
The second avenue is a not-so-free route, but it can provide massive results in a very quick timeframe when you are making the connections to kill it in your business.
And it is through mastermind events.
Sure, there are free events like this (I’m actually involved in one currently in San Diego, CA), but overall, really, really good mastermind events cost money….and big money, as in the thousands of dollar ranges.
But they usually give you 10 times the price you paid in order to be making the connections you need
As I have written about several times now, this past July 2011 was an absolute life changing event for me. I can say with 100% certainty that the connections made on that mastermind weekend in July were absolutely invaluable. To now have a direct line to some of the biggest names in the industry is worth it alone, but there was some really good content at the event too.
Point is, if you can afford to make an event, you must definitely go to one. Meeting face to face with those that you learn from will propel you forward in ways you can’t even imagine.
Well my friends, I think that is all I have for now. Make sure you either get in touch with or physically get around people that are having success.
