I am almost 100% sure that anyone reading this post has asked themselves the question, “Is the MLM industry worth it?” I mean, in what other field or business do people roll their eyes at you or put up their hand while simultaneously telling you, “OH, I’m not doing one of those pyramid things!”
It is very unfortunate that many people have their mind made up about network marketing, but still, one in four people in the US have been a part of the MLM industry in some way, shape, or form.
The other sad fact that often accompanies the previous stat is that 97% of network marketers fail, and by fail, I mean that in a financially specific sense. Often, people do not make back their initial investment, or if they do, then they might only break even, never to see a profit.
Plus, they are constantly getting looked at by their close friends and family as odd balls, or they literally lose family and friends because they run in the opposite direction when they see them coming. Or, worse yet, they get their actions called stupid or idiotic by those that have supported them in every aspect of their life except this one.
So, does that mean we are all delusional? Are we all just that dumb for doing our businesses from home?
Is the MLM industry TRULY worth it?
Well I sure as hell think so.
The thing is that many people get sucked into any particular network marketing company because of the lifestyle promised. And yes, it is absolutely true that ANYONE that has the desire and work ethic to do what is needed can have that all so popularized lifestyle.
However, what I have discovered in my 5 years of doing this is the following…..
People are just too damn lazy.
When they discover that work is involved, they quit.
Yes, the MLM industry does take work!
It’s not hard work. It’s just simply work. If you do the work, you get the results.
People often believe that the words “home based business” equals instant riches. No, those words require massive effort to get you money in your pocket.
But this is the difference…..
When you work a traditional job, you get paid hourly so that at the end of each day, you make the same amount as the day before. But when you work your network marketing business, you get paid more and more every single day. The pay is not linear, it is exponential. It might take a little while to get there, but it will happen.
You can never lose in network marketing. You can only quit. That is just the simple fact. I’m not a quitter. I don’t have quitters on my team. Because of this, I earn money with my home businesses.
The question is….do you?
Until next time…
