Friends, I bring to you the rockstar, David Alcorn, tonight. I was browsing his blog today, and I came across this awesome post. Of course with this permission, he allowed me to re-post this on my blog. I think that you will enjoy it. Without further delay…
There are many reasons why people fail at home-bases businesses but I think most of those can be summed up by three main reasons.
1. They give up too soon- It can be difficult to keep working your network marketing business, or whatever type of business you are working from home, when you aren’t getting the results you want. You were all fired up when you got started…and then you started to fizzle. My advice is to keep at it! It’s a shame that most people quit right before their business is about to explode and make a lot of money. They are then resentful about the entire work at home industry just because they gave up too quick. You need to give yourself enough time to be successful, at least 3-6 months or longer. Your business needs to build momentum and your advertising, SEO, name recognition, and experience in the industry takes time. Keep at it and you will be successful, unless you quit.
2. They run out of money- Every business has at least some initial and ongoing costs to maintain it. If you start on a shoe string budget keep in mind that it might take longer to gain traction. If you invest more money into your business regularly, in the right places, your business has a higher chance to be successful. Remember, you are building a business, not working a job. There are no guarantees in business. Give yourself the best chance possible and invest where you need to in your business.
3. They treat their home business like a hobby, not a business- this one is a biggie! So many people want something for nothing. They just want to dabble in their business here and there and expect to make $20,000 per month in just a few weeks. You can make $20,000 per month with a networking marketing business but it will take either time to build or years of business experience, that you already have, to get you there.
To be successful in any business you need to do something everyday to grow your business. Consistently spread the word about your business and network with people you know. Use the Internet, blogs, social media, and emails to get the word out. Do this for one hour, every day, for 3 months and you will give yourself the best chance to succeed.
There you have it guys. Don’t let these reasons keep you from succeeding. When you drill down into it, they are really just excuses. We all have problems that might preclude us from moving forward, but it’s how you handle those obstacles that make you great.
Until next time…
