Tonight I want to talk about a topic that has been coming up more and more over the past couple of weeks for both myself and those that I coach. Yes, we all want to be successful and help others out and make more money in the process, etc, etc.
But there is a right and a wrong way to do it.
Trust me in that I have been there in wanting to make money as fast as possible. That vision often blinds you, especially when dollar signs start to flash before your eyes. But you have to get past that moment. You have to push through that temptation.
Yes, you must always give value, but I mean, you really, really have to give good stuff to others. It can’t just be a little tid bit here, and then ask for a sale. That is just cheap, and people won’t remember you. Seriously, they won’t. They will just think that you are a cheapo. (Yeah, I just made up the word “cheapo”, but it fits).
I’m talking about giving value and not stopping.
For instance, if a new prospect or parallel business partner asks you a question about what software you use to blast out articles but you don’t respond because he or she is not on your team (aka you might not make money from them)….then you are wrong. The more you give without expecting ANYTHING in return, the more you will ultimately get.
And no, I’m not talking about giving everything away, especially your good stuff. Believe it or not, people enjoy buying stuff, and if you market yourself and your product correctly, people will want to pay you for your services. Your job is to make sure the stuff that you are providing to them delivers at least 10x what they paid for it.
So what’s my ultimate take home here guys….don’t be money focused, be people focused. If you decide to do the right thing always, you will get more money than you ever dreamed.
Until next time…
