So I was going over a few emails that I have sent out to my lists over the past few months, and I came across the following piece of literature that I wrote. I love it because it shows the incredible power of how an Internet based home business can literally be worked from anywhere, to include a war zone. Without any further delay…
ENTER ME FROM 8 MONTHS AGO:
I am writing to you from Afghanistan since my unit has been here for a little while now. In case you are not familiar with my background, I am currently deployed with the Marines to help out in this little scuffle called Operation Enduring Freedom.
Anyways, the cool thing about my business and financial education to all my friends and colleagues on this newsletter is that I can literally do it from anywhere, even 7,000+ miles away from my home in San Diego, CA.
But what I want to talk about today is something that I get asked about often, and that is…”Tim, how did you get started/interested in business?” Well, I got started by reading some books by some pretty prominent financial authors and business gurus of our time. After I read one, I was freakin’ hooked, and then I read another and then another.
As I have always preached and will continue to preach, education is key. It should never stop, and you should never stop growing as a person. So if you are still thinking about wanting to make a little extra money, want to know what to do with the money you have, or try to become more financially educated…take a look at a few of these books. You can even pick them up for about $2.oo a copy at some sites on the Internet.
In no particular order, these are some books that have helped change/educate me about money and business:
Multiple Streams of Income – Robert Allen
One Minute Millionaire – Robert Allen, Mark Victor Hansen
Start Late, Finish Rich – David Bach
Smart Couples Finish Rich – David Bach
Automatic Millionaire Homeowner – David Bach
Fight For Your Money – David Bach
4 Hour Workweek – Timothy Ferriss
4 Hour Body – Timothy Ferriss
Rich Dad, Poor Dad – Robert Kiyosaki
Cashflow Quadrant – Robert Kiyosaki
Conspiracy of the Rich – Robert Kiyosaki
Think and Grow Rich – Napolean Hill
The Millionaire Mind – Dr. Thomas Stanley
Magnetic Sponsoring – Mike Dillard
Honestly, you can try any one of these books, and I can promise that you will be impressed. As for the one to start with, I say Bach’s “Start Late, Finish Rich”, especially if you are trying to figure out what to do with your money and starting a little later in life or Allen’s “Multiple Streams of Income”. Either is a great base, and will get you hooked. I never, ever read any type of books in the past. Now, I can’t get my hands on enough of them, and every single one of them have offered me more value than the $8-$20 bucks I paid for them.
Alright my friend, I need to run.
BACK TO CURRENT DAY TIM:
It really does bring me back, and I have read many others since that writing. These books do enrich your life, and make you a more knowledgeable person. Take the chance to learn from some other people that you may have never been exposed to in the past. It will change your life.
Until next time…..
