So you have decided to take your MLM business to the Internet, or if you are most people these days, it is pretty much the only way in which MLM businesses are ran in today’s world. Not always, but a large majority are rocking out 100% online MLM presences. This is how my team and I roll. But even over the years, this whole dynamic has changed drastically.
For instance, only 2-3 years ago, people used to generate their own leads through static capture pages, or pages that obtain people’s contact info, turning them into a “lead”, in exchange for some piece of free information, video, or report. Now don’t get me wrong, this is still an awesome way to do business and generate your own leads. However, using this type of page for your primary web presence is a huge no-go these days (sorry for the military speech). Reason being, when you boil it down, you want your page to do two things: 1. Be ranked by the search engines (primarily Google) 2. Be amenable to certain keywords for cheap pay per click (PPC) campaigns.
Back just a few years ago, you could make a simple capture page, do some ninja keyword research, put up a PPC campaign, and you could make a killing with your own leads. With the Google slap in full effect, there just isn’t any room anymore. PPC campaigns, especially for MLM capture pages, are just a thing of the past. But is there another way?
YES! And it is called a blog!
There are a million reasons that blogs rock. They can provide great info. They can provide a forum for others to provide great info. They can organize thoughts. They can be a resource for others. And when it comes to your business, they can (and often do) get ranked pretty darn high by Google and other search engines…..that is, if you are providing good content. If you want to learn how to do MLM SEO, take the time to read my blog and others, or even take a course or two on it….BUT the point is, Google LOVES BLOGS! Let me say that again, Google loves blogs.
Search engines don’t like stale, old, crusty, non-developing sites. They love a source that they can be proud to recommend to others by having it rank high on certain search terms. A blog is an excellent avenue to do it. Once your blog is up and running….then you can put a little capture page up at the top or right hand side of the page. It really does become a win-win for everyone involved. I plan to write much more on this topic so be sure to come by and check out my site for more info from time to time.
Until next time…..
