But I don’t wanna! I know, I know. But you have to. Have to what? Well, you have to put in tons of work to be successful in Network Marketing, but specifically at what? If you ask 10 different MLMers, you will get 10 different answers. However, I just don’t take my advice from anyone….I study and follow the experts. And if you ask them, they will say that top three things are as follows in this particular order…
#1. Prospecting. #2. Prospecting. #3 prospecting. Yup, that’s it. And for a fourth thing, prospecting.
Sorry to break the news to you, but this is what your business, our industry, is all about. It is about connecting and networking with other people and providing them value through your products, services, or teachings. That’s it. It really is that simple, but so many people get freakin’ bogged down with all the other little stuff, such as lead generation, having a fancy website, or waiting until they have perfected how to talk with others. Screw that stuff!
If you are reading this article/post, you are not like everyone else. You are an entrepreneur that wants to better your life and better the lives of others. Whether you want to or not, that process involves talking with others. Therefore, spend time talking to others. Yes, having those fancy things like websites and learning how to market/advertise will be important later. BUT, you have to start generating the flow. You have to start getting others excited about what you do. That is your job. To get others excited. And if you aren’t excited about what you do… THEN FORGETTA BOUT IT!
But I don’t have any leads to call? Well, guess what, you can look out your front door and see people in the streets, right? When shopping at the grocery store, you’re not the only one there, are you? Chances are that you can purchase a few leads from a lead vendor, right? Trust me, “leads” are all around you. You just need to have the courage to go out and talk to them. That is what being an entrepreneur is all about, right?…..having the stones to do what other people are not willing to do. You take the risk for the reward. Your neighbor works the dead end job to be unhappy and live the “secure” lifestyle.
So what is the take home message from today……prospect, prospect, and prospect. I can promise you that if you are constantly prospecting (that is talking to no fewer than 10 people per day), you will succeed at your MLM business. If you aren’t prospecting, you really aren’t doing this for real. The choice is yours……
